In today’s digital world, cybersecurity is essential. As a consulting firm, we know how important it is to leave nothing to chance. We uphold this high standard not only for our clients but also for ourselves. Therefore, we are pleased that kobaltblau has received the ISO certification for cybersecurity from TÜV Rheinland through an intensive optimization and auditing process. This certification confirms that our internal information security management system (ISMS) provides effective measures to protect against data misuse and theft. ISO 27001 emphasizes the protection of confidential data as well as ensuring the integrity and availability of information. Companies that receive this certification can demonstrate that they minimize information security risks and continuously take measures to effectively address threats.

Why this certification is so important

Whether private individuals, corporate clients, or employees: nowadays, everyone expects high standards and sensitivity in handling their data. Given the ubiquitous threat of data theft and hacker attacks, companies must actively address cybersecurity. “With the ISO certification, we want to visibly demonstrate how seriously we take this issue: We not only advise our clients to do this, but we also want to set a good example ourselves,” explains our Information Security Officer, Diana Zalomai.

This clearly shows that our guiding principle “We shape change” applies not only to our clients but also to ourselves. This means setting clear goals, paving the way to achieve them, and critically questioning the current status. At the beginning of the process, it was about identifying potential weaknesses in handling information and minimizing risks. All essential business processes were thoroughly analyzed.

In close cooperation with all colleagues and management, the guidelines and technical instructions were finally implemented, and a system was established. After the official review as part of the audit in April 2024, the certification was successfully completed. “It was a pleasure to be part of this journey with kobaltblau and to present them with the ISO 27001 certificate. Such a certification for a consulting firm of kobaltblau’s size is not commonplace! The team has impressively demonstrated that they not only share their expertise in the area of security with their clients but also apply it consistently internally,” explains Ralph Freude, the responsible auditor from TÜV Rheinland.

A guide for the future

For kobaltblau, the ISO certification is not just a mark of quality but also a crucial factor for structured growth and strategic development. Moreover, ISO 27001 is not a one-time award: annual surveillance audits and a comprehensive recertification audit every three years ensure that we continuously maintain high standards in information security.
